Stranded RP

Brendan sighed and started digging with his hands.

(wait a minute this is exactly what you're against Nick cause we know no matter if I agree or Xarler agrees this is gonna turn into a flame war.)

Brendan dug up 3 potatoes.

Nick used some vine he found to loosely lash together the bamboo into a frame, he then used the extra to start braiding it together, "rope, we could always use some rope"

Brendan put the potatoes in his pockets. "Look for carrots later go help Nick now."

Nick had produced quite a bit of rope and used some of it to strengthen the frame, "a more solid frame allows me to pull harder and make tighter and stronger rope, i'm a freaking genius"
[exaggerating of course XD]

(about what? The rope or the genius cause I think you ARE a genius.)

"Huh?" Brendan said walking up.

Nick looked in the direction Brendan had come from, "oh, hey there, i think i found a skill for me to contribute, rope making, and i found that i can make rope that is somewhat stronger than the stuff holding this frame together, allowing me to make better quality

"I think if you used hemp it would be better than vines."

"you've seen some?"

"We could go look now while we have day light and use the rig shelter for tonight. then if we find some we add that to what you have. If we don't we continue."

"maybe we should check that crate first?"
[man this feels like old times XD]

Brendan shrugged "I just need a knife."

[yep ]
"well we got the razor from the ki-wait a minute i just remembered something! i should still have my Leatherman my dad got me!"
Nick rummaged around in his bag

(*HAPPY SIGH* I miss that thing)

Brendan waited. "Okay when you find it meet me at the crate. After that we'll go through our pockets and stockpile whatever we have."

Nick found it and followed him, "y'know what a leatherman is, right?"

"nope"

"well it started in Portland, when a guy, i think he was an ex -marine or something, felt that the one thing he always needed in a swiss-army knife was a set of pliers but none had any. so he went about to invent one, but he didn't try to fit pliers into a swiss-army knife, he tried to fit a swiss-army knife into pliers. and so the leatherman was born, i could have recalled some of the details wrong but thats what i remember from what my dad told me"
Nick opened it up show the pliers head and studied the crate

"Kay you work on the staples I'll get a leaf down and place what's in my pockets on it."

"got it" Nick wedge the staples up a bit using the kinfe on it and pulled them out the rest of the way using the pliers

phillip kept paddling with his makeshift paddle tell i felt light headed "wonder if i could make a signal of some kind to see if someone is on that island" phillip looked around a noticed the dead pilot and checked him for a signal flare

[what would we find in such a crate anyway?]
