Nick drew the blade and pointed at the rune in the hilt, "this glowed when it got near the door, and another rune of the same shape on the door glowed as well"

Shaira looked at it. "heron."

"it mean anything?"

"this is a fairly new hilt but a heron-marked hilt meant a blademaster. but using the rune meant a step below."

"meaning?"

"He was almost one of the best swordfighters."

"hhm, i like the feel of this blade. anyway there were other runes on the door, i think i know what those mean"

"not literally what they mean, but what they're there for. there are other item or weapons here that have those other tunes on them, found those and the door opens"

Sieria flung open her parent's closet, everything still there, "oh yay! i'd always loved my mother's dresses" she was clearly undisturbed by the fact that her mother was long dead
