Shaira looked confused.

a girl peeked over the rim and joy filled her eyes when she saw Nick.
she sat up and hugged him, "oh Remizo, amor mei. quam ego requiro tu"

Nick didn't know what to do

Shaira blinked.

"ok" he thought "she's speaking latin, time to put you skills to the test Nick"

she pulled back to look at him, "quis est nefas?" {what is wrong?}

Nick took hold of her wrists and pulled them off his shoulders "me nomen non est Remizo, sed Nickolus"

she looked confused

Shaira still looked confused.

she looked down at his hand
{where is the ring i gave you?}she looked down and picked up the green ring from the floor of the sarcophagus, then pressed it into his palm

Nick shook his head {who are you?}
"Sieria"

Shaira looked at the girl.

{who do i think i am Sieria?}
{Remizo, my lover}
{what makes you believe this?}
{you look just like him!} saying this brought small tears to the corners of her eyes

Shaira went back to the room with the food storage. "it's gotta be back here."

Nick is silent, and gets up to follow Shaira
{wait! take me with you, i am weak and cannot walk as of yet}
Nick turned back to look at her, sadness in her eyes, he sighed and lifted her out of her resting place. her arms and legs were wrapped and she nestled into Nick's arms as her carried her out of the room where she lay

Shaira pulled out a piece of paper. "The last words of the workers here."

"what does it say?"

"The lava has started to flow from the volcano in the center of town. If we aren't burned to death we'll freeze when the coolant jets out. We've set someone to stay alive in this reactor room in case we are found again." Shaira read off a small prayer at the bottom of the page.

Nick looked down at Sieria who was perfectly content taking a little nap where she was
"suspended animation? but her skin was torn, how did it heal?"

"I don't know."

"wait....maybe it was the ring"

"Life was commonly infused in our jewelry."

"that must be why it was inset into the lid.......hows that food coming Brendan?"

Brendan had already eaten his share. "still warm."

"gee thanks"
Nick sat down against a wall and positioned Sieria next to him, he got a helping of noodles and the scent awakened her
{food? may i have some?}
{.......sure}
{thank you}
she gave him a little kiss on the cheek and took the bowl

Shaira ate a bit of the pudding.

Nick reached into his bag and pulled out his leatherman, then proceeded to clean his fingernails with it

Shaira looked in the storage again "nothing left on to the next site for me I'll leave bits of blue cloth to show you my path."

Sieria looked up at Shaira "and where might you be going?"
Nick nearly jabbed his finger when he heard this, "you speak english?"

"TO FIND MORE REACTORS!" Shaira snapped.
